Alessandra Piccione
Mezzo Soprano

Also known as “The Red Diva”, she has been a delight on the stage since the age of 7. Ms. Piccione is continuing a family tradition in the arts, since her aunt was also a classical singer in her native country of Argentina.

She is a proud 2004 winner of the prestigious Concerto Competition and recent graduate at the New World School of the Arts, Miami’s conservatory of the performing arts, where she received her Bachelor of Music in Opera, graduating top of her class, Cum Laude. She has also been awarded the prestigious National Dean’s List merit award for 2004, which is one of the highest achievements a university student can receive.

Her sense of dramatic artistry, combined with a rich and powerful voice makes her a unique and captivating performer.

She has performed throughout South Florida, and the west coast of Florida as well, presenting concerts with the Sunrise Pops orchestra, also

with the University of South Florida at the Barbara Mann theater of the Performing arts in Ft.Myers, Fl and with Florida International University at the Wertheim Center of the Performing Arts in Miami, Fl.

She has also performed in Miami’s most famous churches including Coral Gables Congregational church in front of the famous Biltmore hotel, Plymouth Congregational church in Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne Presbyterian and Emmanuel Lutheran on Brickell.

She has also participated in performing in the Coral Gables Friday Night Arts series.

Recent engagements included the role of Gianetta in “The Gondoliers” by Gilbert and Sullivan, and with the New World School Orchestra at Gusman Theater of the Performing Arts, “Rising Stars Gala” in Miami, Fl. And a spectacular solo recital this past May at Riviera Presbyterian Church in Coral Gables. This is her first appearance with the Alhambra orchestra, and her second appearance with the Beethoven Society at First Presbyterian Church on Brickell.

She has recently relocated to New York City, where she is advancing her vocal skills and pursuing a professional career in opera.
